Italian to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Health Care / TYPE OF TESTS
Italian term or phrase: andro test
Appears in the heading of a list of things that a medical insurance policy covers - we have a list of treatments headed 'DONNA (gino test)' [inc smear tests & mammograms] and another headed 'UOMO (andro test)' [listing completely different tests to those for women] . From what I understand gino simply meansreferring to women and andro means referring to men. Try as I might I can't find any use of these terms in English texts and am wondering if they can be left out altogether.
I've been very good and put them in as seperate terms, tho I do wonder whether this is strictly necessary in this case.........

Indeed Joanna, this are hormonal tests "extended" to radiologic investigations (mammograms for women "gino test") and even a pap test.
Very likely, these tests are reuqested by the insurance to exclude "female" or "male" cancers. Besides, they request ECG, complete blood analyses......

Asker: I've looked at this - it seems to be used in connection with the reproductive system only, whereas the list I'm dealing with also has the likes of ECGs and blood tests.
