strategic objectives Explanation: If you Google the phrase, many of the hits relate to the Italian national health service. It literally means "plan objectives" and, as my reference shows, the "piano" is the "piano sanitario nazionale". However, I think "strategic objectives" sounds better, and my reference also uses the term "obiettivi strategici". Obiettivi di Piano Che cosa sono Obiettivi strategici e prioritari sui quali far convergere, in accordo con le Regioni, una quota del Fondo sanitario nazionale. overriding domestic sanitary objectives Explanation: just another option -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 ore (2013-02-23 00:38:19 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I think you may avoid *domestic* which it is understood from the whole context but not *sanitary* 'cause even in Italian "obiettivi di piano" doesn't mean nothing to a final user who's not involved in the specific field.
