Italian term or phrase: Il cluster può considerarsi esaurito
I've been trying to translate 'esaurito' in the context of the sentence 'il cluster può considerarsi esaurito', talking about a cluster of diseaseoutbreaks in a certain area, which after one year with no new cases is considered 'esaurito'. I've tried sentences such as 'the cluster may be deemed/considered exhausted/spent/to have died out/to no longer exist' etc, but have found no evidence of their use in the literature published online. Both 'extinct' and 'inactive' seem to have different meanings to 'esaurito' in this field. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that. I think I'll go with 'ended' as there's evidence of its use. Much appreciated!
