Italian term or phrase: spese non revocabili
"In caso di recesso (del contratto) anticipato, la Società corrisponderà all'Azienda le ***spese non revocabili*** che questa documenti avere già sostenuto per l'utile esecuzione della ricerca e ii compensi maturati fino al momento del recesso."

I am not sure that "irrevocable expenses" is the right translation of this accounting term. Suggestions?? Many thanks

agree  Jeffrey Schwartz: I would go with non recoverable expenses. Cost implies expenses plus employee time.

agree  philgoddard: I don't agree with Jeffrey though. Costs or expenses.

-> Thanks, Phil. Food for thought. The difference between the two can be tricky. http://blog.accountingcoach.com/cost-expense/

agree  James (Jim) Davis: Re Jeffrey's comment: "spese di personale" is "personnel expense", sometimes called staff costs (if white collar).// @Sue: the expense definition only applies to US accounting terminology where the P&L account becomes a statement of income and *expense*.
