on-the-job training contract / apprenticeship contract Explanation: This is an "escamotage" whereby a company "employs" an officially unemployed person (and within a certain age group) for a predefined period (I think it's 2 years at the moment). At the end of the time the person is trained and hopefully given a full-time job. In the meantime the company pays less contributions to the state for this person as they are officiallu being "trained on-the-job". I suspect this may be an exclusively Italian thing so I would translate it as I indicate, but perhaps someone has more information. A Our company only "hires" people this way now |
