vedi sotto Explanation: di massima vuol dire in termini generali e preventivi. Da non confondersi con "massimale". Un accordo di massima e' un informal agreement. Principi di massima e' general rules e via discorrendo. Cfr. Codeluppi, Dizionario di Economia, Banca e Borsa In questo caso se traduci con "itemized estimate" puoi mettere "preliminary", anche se in inglese il concetto "di massima" e' gia' contenuto nell'estimate.
