Italian term or phrase: furreaux
It's obviously a French term, but the text is Italian and consists of captions for photographs illustrating a fashion collection (unfortunately I don't have the photos...):

"Una linea scolpita per il cappottino color cioccolata sul furreaux di jersey che imita il pizzo"

The only thing that I can think of is that it's a typo for fuseaux - but then surely the preceding word should be "sui" and not "sul".

Any ideas?

The correct spelling is fourreaux.
Si tratta di un tipo di pantalone in genere corto (non copre la caviglia), dritto ed abbastanza ampio (nella gamba).

Io lo lascerei in francese tra " ", con una breve spiegazione in inglese tra ( ).

La Dama di Callatis, famosa pitonessa dell\'antichità, avrebbe apprezzato nel suo guardaroba i fourreaux e le tuniche scivolose e sexy di georgette stampata pitone e ricoperta di palliettes lunari. Avrebbe indossato volentieri le gonnelline a portafoglio con l\'impronta del serpente, aperte sul fianco e le camiciole trasparenti sostenute da esili bretelle di georgette.
