motifs Explanation: I found this site with illustrations: http://www.dondi.it/copertina-per-culla.php I would say they are motifs. Not sure about the use of the term jacquard because I can't see the details but jacquard motifs might be right. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 18 hrs (2015-04-10 06:51:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Angela it doesn't look like the motifs are centered. They are certainly placed symmetrically, but that is normal for a motif, not to be randomly inserted. Maybe you would prefer to say positioned motifs, The butterflies are on diagonally opposite corners, so if you think that is useful you could say that. You could say "carefully positioned motifs" if you want. Or you could just leave it as it is, motifs e basta. |
