Italian term or phrase: Restiamo in attesa di disposizioni
I'm reluctantly translating a series of e-mail messages concerning a defective
product...

One person sends a message to the head of quality assurance, saying they've
received a complaint about a defective component in one of their kits and the
sender is asking for a replacement. She ends the message to the boss with:

Restiamo in attesa di disposizioni.
Grazie e saluti

The boss answers with a list of things to be done.

SO my question is: Can I assume that "Restiamo in attesa di disposizioni." here just
means "We're waiting for instructions." (i.e., they won't do anything until the boss
tells them exactly how to handle it, which he does) or is it one of those infamous
Italian stock phrases ending letters that means something else? Also is "instructions"
too much of a stretch for "disposizioni"? Any other ideas?
