Data la dimensione e la geometria dell’oggetto in esame, a garanzia di un corretto rilievo morfologico di dettaglio ci si è avvalsi di un set di stazioni Laser Scanner 3D in grado di eseguire scansioni a 360 gradi. Questo ha permesso di rilevare sia lo sviluppo completo della porzione di manufatto analizzata, sia i macro-caratteri morfometrici dell’area circostante, così da ottenere un primo, preciso inquadramento generale dell’area di rilievo. La necessità di rilevare l’oggetto nella sua geometria complessiva ha reso necessario il posizionamento degli scanner in diversi punti di stazione, dai quali si sono ottenute altrettante diverse macro-scansioni che, opportunamente trattate e “fuse”, hanno restituito il manufatto nella sua totalità.
