ce n'est pas beaucoup plus bref mais bon... ca te mettra peut-être sur la voie ;o)
"a chopper" (v. eurodicautom).

peut-être "tracteur" pour "equipaggiamento di trazione", il faudrait voir si ca colle à ton contexte. "système de traction" est plus neutre.
