agree  Assiolo: È in dialetto siciliano, e forse (forse, chi lo sa, non per niente la risposta risulta enigmatica) voleva dire che non apparteneva a nessuno schieramento politico ben preciso, ma si adattava alle circostanze come un marinaio si adatta al vento.

Se si tratta dell'attore Angelo Musco, direi che "sugno" è riferito al verbo essere in siciliano (sugno per sono). Per "marinano" avrei detto "marinaio" ma non ho trovato nessun equivalente, e non corrisponde con il mestiere di attore.
