Italian to English translations [PRO] Art/Literary
Italian term or phrase:strumenti a pizzico/strumenti a plettro
In precedenza si è occupato di commercio di strumenti e accessori musicali, e forse di costruzione di strumenti a pizzico.
Accanto alla ragione sociale si trova scritto: "Violini, mandolini, liuti. Fabbricazione propria di strumenti ad arco e a plettro.
Explanation: "Plucked string instruments" is a standard term in English for a specific class of instruments and translates "strumenti a pizzico". I've never come across a standard term equivalent to "strumenti a plettro", though. "Instruments played with a plectrum (or pick)" is the best I can think of. (But strictly speaking I suspect all "strumenti a plettro" would be classed as "strumenti a pizzico" anyway.) HTH.
