that's what "pan pan" means in French, the report of a gun, it can have sexual connotations (this part of asia used to be a french colony)
it can also have a thai meaning
can't see any meaning in italian

pan pan, bang bang, bread bread...

pan pan is used in Italian too, as in French, as an imitation for gunfire (i.e. kid playing with toy guns)
Itcould also be an attempt at a play on words: from French Can Can dance, to Italian Pan pan (pane pane = bread bread)
But Ristorant names do not usually get translated...
