Italian term or phrase: sub-holding estera di diritto olandese
it is about banks
giorgia
Dutch subsidiary (or sub-holding)
Explanation:
I translate financial statements and the above is quite sufficient as a description in English. If it is a Dutch company, it is obviously foreign and equally obviously subject to Dutch law.

My only query is "sub-holding". If the bank holds more than 50% of the shares, or controls the voting rights, then it is a subsidiary.

Good luck!
