Italian to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
Italian term or phrase:carenza o eccesso di poteri
Sottoscrivendo tutti gli atti relativi, connessi e/o conseguenti, mettere in atto tutto quanto riterranno necessario o opportuno al fine, secondo il loro avviso, con tutti i poteri, nessuno escluso, affinche` nessuno possa eccepire carenza o eccesso di poteri e con la promessa fin d'ora di rato e valido.
I'm interpreting "eccesso di poteri" as "misuse of powers" but having problems phrasing "carenza di poteri" (insufficiency or powers??)
I'd like to explain this one to you (probably should have done so before):

My instinct from the very start was to translate as "insufficiency or excess of powers", however I was translating not one but two documents, one from French into Eglish, the other from Italian into English - although the docs were different, certain terminology was more or less consistent throughout. For this particular phrase, the French read "carence ou exces du pouvoir" - those of you who speak French will know that "exces du pouvoir" very often translates as "abuse/misuse of powers" - hence my dilemma!
