the BE level affects the FE level as well

Explanation:
BE = Back End of a process
FE = Front End of a process

See the Web reference 1 for details.

Example

"The procedure below details how to expand a 2-host platform to create a Front End/Back End architecture by adding a Back End computer.

On completion of this procedure, the original computers will perform SS7 stack processing at the Front End (FE) and the new computer will perform all application processing at the Back End (BE). This architecture is illustrated in Figure 13-1 “Before and After Back End Expansion”.

Notes to answerer
Asker: 'Back end' and 'front end' appear to be correct but Jim Davis' suggestion was a good way of tacking the translation!

a bit too long winded here

Explanation:
This (such a) mechanism is applied at the back end computer and also affects the front-end computer.

This is the way I see it.

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
agree  James (Jim) Davis: Plain and simple. Can't see any problems. You could omit "computer". The front end and back end of the system could be on the same computer or even distributed over many computers.
9 mins
-> thanks Jim - welcome back

disagree  xxxMr Murray: No one would pick BE and FE (English abbreviations in capital letters) to describe the physical back and front.
18 mins
-> level means perspective or point of view or physically. A FE level of BE level does not exist
