i pasti inglesi/americani/etc sono molto diversi da quelli italiani (già solo il primo/secondo/contorno, lo possiamo voler tradurre, ma in originale non lo troveremo mai in un ristorante inglese/etc.)
Le minestre asciutte sono appunti i primi in generale che sono senza brodo: quindi normali paste, o al forno, o risotti, ravioli, e quant'altro. Io lascerei semplicemente pasta, o al massimo 'pasta and risotto' (che è l'unico che potrebbe non essere incluso nella categoria pasta se non specificato).
non so se mi sono spiegata al meglio, cmq spero tu abbia capito il mio commento...
un esempio (scritto proprio da loro- si vede dallo spelling dei cibi italiani, e quindi è proprio la parola che è utlizzata dai madrelingua):
