Italian term or phrase: platorelli

I ***PLATORELLI*** INCOLLATI AL VETRO DEVONO INSERIRSI DELICATAMENTE NEI BICCHIERINI AVVITATI ALLA BASE.

This is from the same sentence I posted earlier.
I found 'pads' for 'platorelli' on ProZ and, initially, I thought that could work but a little research shows that the term is primarily used in the context of backer pads for grinding wheels.
So, I'm wondering if anyone has another suggestion? In this case, the 'platorelli' appear to be metal discs glued to a glass table top that are designed to then be inserted into the corresponding sockets on the table base and then screwed into place (through the top of the platorello).
