Thank you. It is clear now, but I am confused about what pala should be translated as. I am using buttstock for the calcio, but am not sure if the pala is a "blade" or whether using something general may be better.
see Ethos p.3 for description https://www.stoegercanada.ca/Uploads/Catalogues/2014 Benelli...
the ETHOS stock, pictured above, incorporates the Progressive Comfort recoil reduction system. By cutting away the outside of the stock, you can see the polymer system which includes 3 sets of ngers or leaves. These 3 sets of ngers each have a different elasticity, and the load used determines which sets of ngers are utilized for maximum recoil reduction. The rst set of ngers is very exible for light loads, the second set a bit stiffer for eld loads, and the third set is optimized for heavy magnum loads.
I may have been playing around with this and not realised that I corrupted the text. This is from the original:
La meccanica infatti è la classica collaudatissima [XXX] a svincolo inerziale con testina rotante, il sistema di smorzamento del rinculo e del rilevamento è il Progressive Comfort celato all'interno dell'elegante pala del calcio in completa armonia con le linee filanti ed eleganti del fucile.
