Down here in Texas, we say, "Dig in!" but that may have a regional flavor or may imply a degree of familiarity that may not always be appropriate.

At our home, we typically say, "let us eat!" This would be appropriate in some settings, but no in all. A waiter, for instance, cannot say that.

Many people use the French equivalent, but I don't see how that is better than using the Italian as is.
