neutral  WendellR: Better to leave the title & provide explanation. In a US context, supreme crt of appeal is a contradiction in terms // My comment specifies that it IS US context. The SC is a court to which an appeal can be made but it is not properly a court of appeals.

  -> Only if your definition of a supreme court is the US court. It is the highest of its kind (supreme) and a court of appeal.
