4 | EC type declaration |
|
EC type declaration Explanation: CE di tipo is not a complete expression. The complete expression is "Attestazione/Attestato di CE di typo". "CE di typo" is a short form, just like "CE de type" is an abbreviation of the French expression "declaration CE de type" It means that, by this document, the manufacturer declares that the object complies with a CE defined type of object and therefore complies with the laws and regulations applicable to that object inside the EEC. As you might know, such a document is only a declaration from the manufacturer. It can be accompanied by official certificates but this is not mandatory. Essentially, and without official certificate, only the manufacturer's responsability can be retained in case of problem, if it appears that the declaration was abusive. I am not a jurist, Ihope I was clear enough HTH several years in quality insurance as a service manager |
