Is there any other way to translate than Public Prosecutor's Office at... and also what's the proper way to translate "procuratore"
juvefan
public prosecutor/district attorney
Explanation:
Obviously anyone who is a legal translator will help you out better on this but I know that "procura della repubblica" is the equivalent of the US "district attorney".
Consequently "procuratore" in the context you sem to require here is a "public prosecutor" or "district attorney". It does have other meanings also but not appropriate to your context.

Angela

disagree  Paul Sadur: I wouldn't use "district attorney" in a translation of an Italian text. This is peculiar to U.S. State Courts. It is not used in U.S. Federal Courts. "Public Prosecutor" is more generic and would be more appropriate.
