part of process of manufacturing credit cards. not sure what this fustella is that the card is to be stuck to...(can't see how it can be primary meaning of fustella as a socket punch)

in any case: fustella can heve different meanings
1 TS tecn., utensile d’acciaio a bordi taglienti per incidere, ritagliare o ricavare parti sagomate da fogli di cartone, stoffa, lamiera metallica, ecc.
2 CO sulle scatole di medicinali, talloncino su cui è stampato il prezzo che può essere staccato e inviato dal farmacista all’ente mutualistico per ottenere il rimborso
3 CO sostegno cartaceo che negli adesivi si stacca al momento di applicarli

I think your case is No. 3 (i.e. I'm thinking when credit cards are sent by letter, and are "glued" to that adhesive part...:
Example: Avete ricevuto il rinnovo della vostra Carta [...] Avete appena staccato la carta dalla sua fustella e state per riporla nel portafogli http://cr.valledeilaghi.it/privati/ccredito/sibase.htm)

So I guess something like xyz-sticker would work...
