Italian term or phrase:colorazione in vena
The description of a process for manufacturing tiles:
La _colorazione in vena_ consiste nel miscelare barbottina base gres con un concentrato colore denominato “sciroppo”.

Sorry, can't help you! Thought that if this was about plastic tiles then the 'in vena' could possibly refer to the injection method of colouring- I taught in a plastics factory but have no idea if the same processes are used in clays, etc. Good luck!

Asker: I don't think this is my solution: the color/tint is being uniformly distributed throughout the slurry. I do thank you for the link to tinting concnetrate! Do you have any other ideas?
Asker: Hi Silvia, Thanks for your help. I don't think so - it's too specific. I guess I'm looking for the process name - in plastics I'd call it "injection coloring" or somthing similar - they're "injecting" this slurry with a color...
