ho trovato che la fissazione del polmone alla parete toracica è detta 'pneumopessia' ma di questo affascinante termine non ho trovato la traduzione in inglese

riprendendo la risposta di Gianfranco...
io ho trovato "pneumopessi" per fissazione del polmone alla cassa toracica (e non pneumopessia). Il mio Dizionario Medico (Marco Lucchesi) mi dà come traduzione "pneumopexy". Tuttavia, su Internet si parla di una metodologia oculistica al riguardo. Io credo che, se l'interpretazione di polmone a parete è corretta in questo contesto, pneumopexy potrebbe andare. Prima di prendere un granchio, però, forse faresti meglio a fare una telefonatina al cliente.
