Italian to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical (general) / podiatry
Italian term or phrase:appoggio
"La metatarsaglia trae origine da numerosi fattori eziopatogenetici. Tutti, comunque, hanno in comune il dolore dell’***appoggio*** sulla parte anteriore del piede e, più precisamente, sulle teste del II, III, IV metatarso."
I'm having trouble with this word "appoggio". In terms of the walking cycle, "fase di appoggio doppio" translates as "double support phase", but I'm not sure "support" fits as a translation in this case also. Any advice greatly appreciated!
