3 +2 | bladder dome |

bladder dome Explanation: ...seems to be the safest bet It is used in the ICD codes for malignant tumours: C67.1 Cupola vescicale, in Italian C67.1 Dome of bladder, in English 'Dome' and 'apex' are often used synonymously - and where a distinction is made, the apex seems to be seen as the most anterior point and the dome as the most anterior region of the bladder. 'Apex' and 'vertex' of bladder are synonyms. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 56 mins (2009-11-30 10:38:36 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- NB: I have never seen 'bladder cuff' used as an anatomic term. IMO it is a portion of bladder wall around the ureter ostium to be included in the resection of a ureter for malignancies. |
