Medical - Medical (general) / insurance coverage
Italian term or phrase: stomachevoli
From a list of various conditions and injuries contained in an insurance coverage assessment form. Obviously this term refers to a disfigurement that provokes a strongly negative effect in another person, but how to word this rather unfortunate term in a manner that does not cause offence? "Distressing" is my best effort so far.

"Cicatrici e danno al viso deturpanti e stomachevoli, eventualmente accompagnate da disturbi funzionali leggeri o medi."

Thanks in advance as always!

Thank you EVERYONE for your input. I initially thought this solution was too "mild-sounding", but the dictionary confirmed it as a reasonably "strong" choice. I added a note to the customer to be on the safe side :-) Thank you again everyone!
