Italian to English translations [Non-PRO]
Italian term or phrase:un grazie dunque ai consulentiscietifici e alla grande distribuzione
expression of thanks to certain groups for their assistance in fundraising
our thanks then to the scientific advisors and the large chain supermarkets
Explanation: I guess consulentiscietifici is "consulenti scientifici" - who could be consultants, advisors, experts, researchers etc.
For GDO (grande distribuzione organizzata) I once worked alongside a US audit firm who called it "large supermarket chains" and the Italian firm that they were assisting who called it "large scale supermarket distribution", "large-scale distribution enterprises".
Over to you for which one you prefer!

Explanation: I agree with Denise and just offer this as an alternative, on the basis of a humongous translation I did a few months ago analysing the marketing strategies of GDO. In English the term used was often Retail Trade (per tutto il settore) o retail chains.
