Italian term or phrase: pappardella
This term is listed as a menu choice. I wish to know what pappardella consists of.

English translation:pappardelle
Explanation:
Usually you do not translate the name but you can explain that pappardelle is a type of home made fresh pasta (as opposed to the one sold in boxes at the supermarket this type of pasta should be kept in the fridge and used within a couple of days) shaped like fetticcine but wider (maybe fettuccine are more likely to be known since pappardelle is regional homemade pasta while fettuccine is a national type).
I really hope it helps.
Bye

pappardelle

Explanation:
it shoudl be plural, and according to RAGAZZINI it stays the same in English. The rough explanation it gives is: wide ribbon noodles. The ZINGARELLI says this: "Lasagne cotte in acqua o brodo e condite con sugo di carne tritata, spec. di lepre". Can you read this? Anyway I would never say "lasagne"
