si trova la ridente borgata montana di ...
My doubt is mainly on 'borgata'; on the dictionary I found 'village' which has not quite the same flavour though.

"mountain village"
Explanation:
In the United States, "village" conveys a sense of warmth and charm that seems to fit the previous word "ridente".

I hope this helps. :-)

I appreciated all the answers and it was difficult to make up my mind. I think in these cases it's more a mattter of personal taste.

mountain community/settlement

Explanation:
Webster: In England a village denotes a collection of houses, too small to have a parish church. A village has a church, but no market. A town has both a market and a church or churches. A city is, in the legal sense, an incorporated borough town, which is, or has been, the place of a bishop's see.
In the United States these distinctions do not hold.
A hamlet is a community smaller than a village.

Volevo offrirti qualche alternativa visto che avevo fatto le ricerche,. incuriosita. Hamlet e' sicuramente piu' poetico.
Saluti a tutti
