Italian term or phrase: frammentato
nel Battistero di Callisto si trova un pluteo frammentato
fragmented pluteus?
pietra
damaged pluteus
Explanation:
I think it means it's been borken so there are bits missing, so it's "damaged".
If you use an alternative "incomplete" it sounds as if it hasn't been finished.

cracked or fragmented

Explanation:
"Fragmented" connotes divided or broken into little pieces. If this is what has happened to the pluteus, then I would suggest "fragmented". If there are simply cracks with no broken pieces, then I would "cracked".
