Explanation: I don't want to offend anyone, but if the purpose of Pietra's request was to obtain an "English" expression, it's no good sending her stuff that's in the dictionary - she already found that and wasn't happy with it. Anybody can translate like that. I've been speaking English and Italian for nearly 45 years and I am familiar with UK dialects and Italian (I speak Ciocciaro, Abruzzese and Sicilian). I would not say say "our time and their willingness permitting" for one specific reason: in ENglish that refers to the FUTURE and Pietra's sentence is in the past. It already happened.
