Qlc mi sa spiegare la differenza tra weigher e scaler? Ho trovato entrambi i termini come traduzione per pesatore (addetto al peso) ma non riesco a individuarne la differenza, anche perché non è dato contesto al tipo di mansione che svolge questa figura, o meglio, all'ambito in cui esegue le operazioni di pesatura. Potrebbe tanto pesare la mortadella quanto nonsocosaltro :-)

This may well be "weigh station operator" in US. However, I think a weighbridge is primarily used for weighing vehicles.
If this job involves weighing something else, I doubt that there is one standard term for it in English but "scales" is more common than "scale" (which is not wrong but is rather ambiguous).

On second thoughts, since the context is unknown, \"weighing machine operator\" is probably the safest option. To my mind, weigher and scaler suggest machines rather than people.

Prova con una di queste versioni. Spesso il dizionario serve solo come spunto poi subentra l'uso corrente. Direi che almeno negli USA si parlerebbe di operator, che spesso non c'è visto che ormai è quasi tutto automatico.
