Italian to English translations [PRO]
Italian term or phrase:soluzioni per la ristorazione al bar
Nowadays almost all Italian bars ALSO offer a first course, i. e. pasta! This is what is called RISTORAZIONE RAPIDA, which is a little different with FAST FOOD RESTAURANT, because you eat your pasta sitting on a barstood at the counter or, in the summer, at a table outside the bar.
I find that refreshment is too vague, indefinite in this case.
I've seen "ristorazione" translated as catering (as a field), but "food services" is also used quite often. This may do the trick for you:
because it still avoids the term "restaurant", which is a completely different concept.
Explanation: it's not a pun; at least in the US and Canada there are lunch counters where you would not expect lunch to be served (Sears for one, and other points of sale).
Also it's food you have to eat with utensils, and many "bar" in Italy serve snack (finger food, sandwiches, "toast" etc.), but in an English context bar takes a different connotation.
