Italian to English translations [Non-PRO]
Italian term or phrase:ti va di parlare un po?
He asked me this while we were having a conversation that was very casual.
Explanation: This is one of those apparently simple questions that are, instead, quite hard in writing because what we are missing are all the non verbal clues. If you were already having a casual conversation, perhaps he wanted to get into more serious, personal topic... You are the only one who can say.
I would tend to see it as a request to talk about yourself and to have a more serious conversations.
Would you mind if we spoke a bit/talked for a while?
Explanation: Ti va= is it ok with you? or would you mind...?
un po= a bit
Depending on the circumstances, if he were trying to hit on you it would be a polite line, but if it were casual conversation, as you said, between friends or acquaintances, it would sound quite like I translated it if he were just wanting to talk.
