Training courses and learning opportunities Explanation: that's exactly what my French-English Collins Dict. gives for "stages" As for momenti di formazione, that's not the same as corsi di formazione. A "corso" is organized and lasts for a predefined time, a "momento" may come up at short notice and doesn't last longt. For this last expression I think learning opportunities (or formation opportunities if you like it best) does the trick. |

stage Explanation: io lavoro ad una scuola alberghiera ed i nostri studenti fanno degli "stage" di 4/6/8 settimane sia qua in Italia sia all'estero - cioè viene usata (dagli studenti, dalla scuola, dalle aziende ...) propria la parola francese. Lo stage non è il corso di formazione, ma viene effettuato nel interno di questi corsi - i studenti vanno per un periodo a lavorare in qualche azienda (non pagato, perche fa parte della formazione). Anche nei documenti e nei programmi (da parte della Regione) si parla solodi "stage". Ed io personalmente non ho mai sentito parlare di questo stage usando un termine italiano: didi |

placement and training with employers Explanation: Apprenticeship/cooperative education dalla descrizione di Didi mi sembra chiaro si tratti di corsi di apprendistato, anche se la parola non viene piu' usata ne' in italiano ne' in inglese perche' suona antiquata, ma quella 'e la sostanza. In Canada e in altri paesi di lingua inglese si chiama "cooperative education" che integra lo studio formale con la pratica presso il posto di lavoro (gli studenti sono quasi sempre pagati). Bisogna adesso adattarlo al tuo contesto e al fatto che deve presentarsi come nome. Suggerisco per l'intera frase quanto sopra. saluti paola l m |
