Italian term or phrase: spazzamento
Hi, while I muse over "stages" (thanks to all), I wonder if anyone has any trendy expressions for "spazzamento". The text is about refuse collection, so spazzamento is almost certainly "street sweeping", which sounds, to my ear, a bit underwhelming in this modern age!

Thank you Paola, I have decided that maybe "sweeping" is more acceptable than I at first envisaged, though I will definitely try to get incorporate some "hand and vacuum collection of debris along predetermined routes" and "large/microscopic pollutants" if at all possible.
I'm having fun, thanks
Derek
