, e mi cullo all’ombra degli alberi con le voci delle coppie sulle barche o dei bambini che sguazzano in un’acqua improbabile.

I don't like the word unlikely for improbabile. Any suggestions?

I agree with Oliver that more context would be helpful, as we don't know whether the water is 'too good to be true', or somehow uninviting.
