Italian term or phrase: pastini
It is a text about conservation of geological heritage - this word was just one of many in a list so context would not be very relevant.
Thanks for any help

English translation:Nonsense
Explanation:
Dear MC, I am afraid this word simply has no meaning in Italian. The only chance could be the name of a product or family name, but it would be capitalized. Even the nearest word, "pastine", is the feminine plural for "little biscuit/product of pastry", which does not seem to apply for a geological text!

Hope this helps :)

Flavio,
Thanks for answering - the word "pastini" actually means terrazini in Trentino dialect - unbelievable, that I spent ages searching for this word when some idiot is writing in dialect !!!
Thanks anyway for your time.

"cookies"

Explanation:

The original term is more related to the cooking rather to the Geology, however in many cases are minerals or shapes of components which are baptized by "strange" terms like in this case maybee "cookies".

Best regards,
SCOALB
