Italian to English translations [PRO] Social Sciences - Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc. / women's studies
Italian term or phrase:rete antiviolenza
subject: violence against women.
I was thinking of "newtorks against abuse"... "Anti-violence networks" does not sound so good.
Any other ideas?
I'm sorry but none of the answers provided seems to fit the bill. "Anti-violence" still doesn't sound that good; "prevention" of abuse is too limiting, as these services also deal with actual events of abuse; as per "domestic/family" violence, it is only one part of violence against women (though the most significant one). In the end, I went for "networks against abuse", which sounded right in the context. I also used "anti-violence against women network" on one occurrence. Thanks very much for all your suggestions and hard work. I'm really sorry for not awarding points on this one: I would do if I could split them among all of you!

anti-violence support networks
Explanation: Just an extra word added to what you suggested didn't sound right, but it makes the difference as it gives the idea of the very important support that these networks give!
