Tech/Engineering
Italian term or phrase: tavoli esplosi, magnetotermico
refers to stainless steel refrigeration units.
I believe interruttore magnetotermico is a circuit braker switch.
Any ideas on the first term. (Tavoli refrigerati)
Kathi
English translation:exploded views or exploded drawings, thermomagnetic switch
Explanation:
1. technical drawings are shown in 'exploded view' to show details clearly and how they all fit into the whole.

2. magnetotermico = thermomagnetic, so I assume it's called a thermomagnetic switch.

thanks, I couldn't figure out for the life of me what they meant by exploded.
Since you say "assume" I'm not quite sure I can use thermomagnetic, I viewed a few relative web sites, that supplied both english and Italian versions, none used the exact translation, however one said specifically circuit breaker. This is actually the function of the switch in my text. To automatically shut off the current flow. I'm not an electrician; perhaps all circuit breakers are thermomagnetic??

Explanation:
You were right to catch my doubt on the second term. If you can\'t find the term on the web, it\'s probably wrong. There is a second type of circuit breaker, widely used in Italy, in addition to the usual circuit breaker, commonly called a \"salvavita\". In English it is the GFI circuit breaker, for ground fault interrupter. Don\'t know if that is what yours could be. Can\'t help you more than that, as I am not an electrician either, and have no time for further research right now. happy hunting!

Ciao,
Maureen

Explanation:
No, not all circuit-breakers are thermomagnetic; however, the phrase "thermomagnetic circuit-breaker" is the proper term for the type of breaker whose action is based on the simultaneous presence of a temperature gradient and a magnetic field.
