Italian term or phrase: premise enclosures
Can anyone explain to me what °premise enclosures° are? Don't worry about the Italian translation, an explanation would be enough.

English translation:armadi locali
Explanation:
Hello Laura
I think these are just wiring/equipment cubicles. The adjective "premise", to my mind, implies that they are installed on a customer's site, rather than at a telephone company switching centre/exchange.

Derek
