Are you sure this is hydraulics as in "fluid power"? I've never heard of the expression but it reminds me of some winemaking stuff I did some time ago. In any event, maybe the word "preflushing" would fit your context...

agree  Elisabeth Ghysels: yes, apparently Italians have broadened the meaning (not yet in Zingarelli, but several examples in the internet) from which was originally, as the name itself says, a typpical winemaking procedure. Preflushing was the word I just didn't find in time.
