Italian term or phrase: BANDELLETTA RIFILO
about extrusion machinery procedures, should be a kind of metal trim blade to prevent overfilling of feederbox. Any suggestions?

English translation:> see below <
Explanation:
"Trim blade" should be just fine ("bandelletta" = "small bar or strap," and "rifilo" = "that which trims"). The trick here is to make sure that "trim" is understood as functional, rather than decorative (as, for instance, "trim strip"). -- BTW, in the same general area, "stampo per rifilare" =" trimming die".... Hope this helps, HC

Ok. Thanks for the confirmation. "rifilo" was used elsewhere in text as a noun so I opted for trimmer

Explanation:
HC's answer looks good. Surprised that the blade is in the pre-extrusion position tho'. Often, in an extrusion process (eg PVC) the blade will be positioned immediately downstream of the die so as to trim off excess plastic. In this case trim die or blade would be good.
