Italian term or phrase: sovracontorno
"Il ponte provvisorio viene inserito nel cavo orale; si noti il sovracontorno delle corone utile al contenimento ed alla spinta del composito fluido nel solco gengivale."

Still more dental restoration stuff.

I can't find a translation for "sovracontorno" anywhere! Does anyone here know what it means? TIA for any light you can shed on it.

This could be right, actually. It's the surface of an artificial tooth shaped to accomodate the alveolar ridge (according to my Bucksch dictionary), so it could also be on crowns. I hope this is it, anyway! Can't think of any alternatives, anyway! Thanks for your assistance.
