sliding headstock lathe; sliding head lathe Explanation: Hi I am not suggesting that Floriana (respect) is wrong of course, this is just a glossary note with alternative terms. I am aware that the Swiss are excellent engineers, but in Dudley near where I come from they are not accredited with the invention of this type of lathe, as you can see from the site I enclose (which can be cross-referenced to Floriana's "utimac" site using "Hanwha lathes"). You might also look at Imeca's site (customer of mine) on the second link. Maximum irrelevance and unwillingness to get down to any serious translation...
