English translation:a 5cm deep ledge running the entire length of the base
Explanation:
My research points to the inexistence of this word "rintacco": not in any dictionary I have and not on the web.
Dare I hypothesize the dreaded typo?
I suspect it's really "intacco" and I imagine a ledge along the back of the base that is 5cm deep and runs right along it.
What do the others think?

Thank you - what you say makes complete sense. I also couldn't find it anywhere. The only thing is they use the same word/mistake all the way through the document!

agree  Derek Smith: I think the author should be coaxed into using Italian words! Ideas? ledge, infill strip, overhang, recess... boh
